Hinke Weikamp makes monoprints in her studio in Utrecht out of materials she finds in nature. Intuitively, she isolates parts of plants to create new, non-existing plants. These parts are inked and placed under an etching-press, leaving behind a shadow of the plant on the paper. In her own way, she makes reference to the technique of flower drying through the images she creates.
